Frugivory in Santa Rosa National Park


Part of Spondias mombin fruits, that was ate for Cebus capucinus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Alouatta palliata (Gray, 1849) in Santa Rosa National Park.

Cebus capucinus (Linnaeus, 1758) and Alouatta palliata (Gray, 1849), I saw this two species of primates eating fruits of Spondias mombin L. in Santa Rosa Park from Costa Rica. There is a good interaction plant-animal, plant provide food for the monkeys and monkeys help in seed dispersal to this plant.

Passiflora, tumbo, curuba





These photos were taken in alder's forest in a interandean valley from Peru.These fruits are used by local people and by frugivorous birds and mammals which help in their dispersal. Estas fotos fueron tomadas en un bosque de alisos de un valle interandino del Perú, es utilizada como una fruta por los pobladores de la zona, pero tambien es utilizado por aves y mamiferos frugívoros que ayudan en su dispersión.
