I saw a flock of this species, they were eating and dispersing seeds of a palm. I found seeds as to 100 meters away from the tree source that went transported for these birds, although their diet is varied seems to have preference for fruits, the dispersing function could be an important one for restoration of degraded ecosystems, beacuse this species use disturbed landscapes very well. I hope your comments about the potential function from this bird in the ecosystems......., specially in degraded ecosystems..
